DDPL Leader Board Point Changes Effective July 1, 2009!

Players earn more points towards leader boards for placing in Top 16 effective Wednesday, July 1st. The points are issued as follows: 1st=80, 2nd=70, 3rd=60, 4th=50, 5th=40, 6th=30, 7th=20, 8th=10, 9th=9, 10th=8, 11th=7, 12th=6, 13th=5, 14th=4, 15th=3, 16th=2, and 17th+=1 point. Team Poker Challenge

DDPL in Kansas & Missouri is offering a special Team Challenge to our players. Players from the Championship Team will each win a new Compaq - Presario Laptop. Teams will consists of four players and are not able to be modified once submitted. The qualifying period will run from Sunday, July 5th through Saturday, September 12th. The Team Challenge Championship will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2009. The top 8 point earning teams will be invited to the Team Challenge Championship event and are guaranteed prizes.

Points can be earned on a weekly basis with a maximum of 100 points earned per team per qualifying week. Qualifying weeks will run from Sunday through Saturday. Players will earn 10 Points for each first place finish, 5 Points for each second through eighth, 2 Points for each ninth through sixteenth, or 1 Point for each non-placing finish.

Teams may sign up with facilitators starting Saturday, June 18, 2009 at any DDPL event in Kansas or Missouri. Late registration is allowed up until Saturday, August 1, 2009.

2009 NLOP $30,000 Players Championship Seat Giveaway -- Update

DDPL has awarded our first eight seats to the 2009 NLOP $30,000 Players Championship. Congratulations goes out to Ken Thurston, Dan Goodloe, Rick Mack, Keith Wunder, Tim Holstrum, Michael Carpenter, Phyllis Grundfast, and Patrick Airey.

DDPL is hosting TWO more tournaments for four additional seats. These tournaments will take place on Saturday, June 27th at Brass Rail in Grand Junction starting at 12 PM and Saturday, July 11th at Clarette Club in Mission starting at 12 PM. These events are in conjunction with NLOP Live Across America. Players must register online here to play in these events.

$3,000 Quarterly -- Schedule & Location Change

Side Pockets on Englewood will host the next DDPL Quarterly League Championship on Saturday, July 25th at 1 PM. The QLC will be hosted in one continuous session instead of the usual two separate sessions. All pre-registered players have been updated to the new date and start time.

ALC Tournament -- Follow Up

DDPL would like to congratulate Andrew R (6028) from Topeka, Kansas as our 2008-09 Annual League Champion. Andrew took down the final hand with Ace/King offsuit versus King/Eight offsuit after six hours of tournament play. Congratulations Andrew!
